We’ve had quite a few of you asking about a product called PIMT4Life, so we decided to do a little investigating of our own!
What Is It?
PIMT4Life is a once-daily pill which contains an enzyme called the PIMT enzyme. The company that manufactures PIMT4Life, the Cellular Life Research Center, says that this enzyme is crucial to “stopping our cells from committing suicide,” which is basically the root of the aging process. They say that cell degeneration (and aging) starts with the production of Abnormal Aspartyls – a damaging residue that can be found throughout the body, whether it be the joints, the heart, the pancreas, liver or the brain.
What Do They Say It Does?
The company breaks PIMT4Life’s purpose (or effectiveness) down into three simple steps:
1. In order to stop cell degeneration, we have to stop the formation of Abnormal Aspartyls.
2. To stop Abnormal Aspartyls, our body must produce more PIMT.
3. When our body produces enough PIMT, our cells stop degenerating.
Since PIMT4Life contains the PIMT enzyme, it then follows that this product can help stop aging in its tracks, and even help prevent age-related diseases such as osteoarthritis, Alzheimer’s and diabetes.
Here’s where things get a little bit tricky with this product… and with our “trust” of it. Nowhere on the company’s website can you find the ingredients to PIMT4Life. In fact, I had to email the company to find out what the ingredients actually were. They responded within two days, and gave me the following:
- Sodium Hyaluronate
- Broccoli Sprout Extract (brassica oleracea italica) (standardized to 6% glucosinates and 3000 ppm sulforaphane)
- Medium Chain Triglycerides Phosphatidylserine Complex
- Hydrolyzed Collagen
- Titanium Dioxide
- White Film Coating
- Magnesium Stearate
- Silicon Dioxide
- Croscarmellose Sodium
- Stearic Acid
- Hydroxypropyl Cellulose
- Microcrystalline Cellulose
But what’s troubling is that there is no literature on the website that links any of these ingredients to the PIMT enzyme they speak of. Where is the actual enzyme that they refer to in their information? Research shows that the introduction of that enzyme would be beneficial…but we cannot find information/ingredients in this supplement that would increase your body’s production of the PIMT enzyme.
What We Like
Well, if the product actually works like it says it does, then of course – who is not for anti-aging, especially in an all-natural approach? We are all looking to slow down the clock on aging, and to be able to do it without expensive cosmetic procedures, or costly prescription drugs, well, that would be ideal.
What We Don’t Like
Again, the most unsettling thing was the lack of ingredients, and the general lack of scientific information related to this product. I’m always skeptical about a product that doesn’t have the ingredients listed on the site. Also, it’s extremely expensive. The regular price of one bottle is almost $90! While they do offer a “risk-free trial,” there aren’t many details on the satisfaction guarantee – I find that this typically leads to an exhaustive process when attempting to get a refund.
We urge you to do your own research when it comes to PIMT4Life, but it’s not a product that we highly recommend.
As always, check with your doctor before starting any new supplements because there are several options out there. Also, some supplements may interact with any other medications you are taking so please take that into consideration.
